Nightmare pt 3

Call and tell HQ we're in need of support!
And whatever they do
Get a fleet to the shore!
This is squadron eight-two and we need a report
Private Riley take two!
Robby's bleeding some more!
Where is the medic?
Wrap a gauze around it to protect it
You have to stop the bleeding...
I don't want to get infected!
At this point...
Now Robby was determined to live
He'd never saw a body but was learning to deal
Everytime he turned around
Another soldier was killed
Then he thought about the veterans..
I know how they feel!
A soldier he had met upon arriving
Now lay stiff with his head set out beside him
Moho took pictures
The public should see
Everybody told him that the struggle was brief
What if I was traumatized?
Seeing blood in my sleep...
Everytime I close my eyes
Men shot on repeat...
But no one cares
Moho doesn't know he's there?
Gun goes off...
Now he's gone
That wasn't fair
Commander Black led eight-two through to a bunker
Robby gunned down two of the few who were running
Other soldiers shot back
The opposition was gunning
Commander Black threw a frag at the ones who were coming
And disappeared...
Then the air support had gotten near
Eight-two's tanks moved up
Shot and cleared.......

Poem of the Day

poet Helen Hunt Jackson

The month of carnival of all the year,
When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
