No Love in Moscow

I came here looking for love
But love came here not looking for me...

Crowd that crusts goose-bumps of loneliness,
Life that births death...

I came here looking for love
Like a baby yearning for breast-milk.

I came...
Scare-crow looking for me
And if I don't find that cherry
Death will birth me snow-brushed!

But if I don't find love's wind
What will I ever find?
If there is no love in Moscow
Then what will I ever know?

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.
