No News Is Good News

I don't want hear the king, or about his new clothes
I don't want to hear about countries in chaos, Or economies about to fall
Don't tell me about another war, I only get confused
I don't need to know about a new drug, or a cure for it all

Spare me from the story, No news is good news,
Don't tell me the story, don't tell me about the news

Don't tell me about my baby, or what she's doing now
Don't tell me about todays fashion, or who I should be hanging round
Don't tell me about life on mars, or ancient aliens from the stars
I don't need to know about who made the rich list, or who's new in town

Spare me from the story, No news is good news,
Don't tell me the story, don't tell me about the news

Don't want to hear about another scandal, or of someone being abused
Don't need to know the world is over, or a natural disaster, or the shape of Jesus shoes,
Don't care much about the weather, or which car I should choose
I don't care about what gives me pleasure, or what wealth I should treasure

Spare me from the story, No news is good news,
Don't tell me the story, don't tell me about the news
Don't, don't tell me about the news
Don't tell me about the news
