No Record Of Wrongs
I made a mistake that hurt you deep
Hurt you so bad you couldn't sleep
When you awoke you were still mad
Causing you hurt caused me to be sad
I tried to talk to see if we were done
It was hard for me not to run
But I held fast, I said my part
I waited for true pain to start
Then to my surprise you started to laugh and gave a smile
The two things I thought I wouldn't see for awhle
I wasn't sure what to make of your reply
I didn't know if it was true or a lie
I love you were the words you next said
Those words you spoke almost filled me with dread
Is this a joke, is she mocking me now
But no, it was true you love me somehow
I went through the day with your words on my mind
The meaning of which I struggled to find
Later that day when I asked you why
In giving an answer you didn't shy
You said that the love you felt was strong
And you told me love keeps no record of wrong
