Not just a night

As we lay in bed
Through the darkness
I saw you smile,
As you looked into my eyes
That’s when I could feel my heart beating
Like never before
And in that moment I wish time could stand still
As I held you in my arms
And kiss you for the first time!
My arms are still wrapped around you now
Please don’t ever forget the moment we have shared
No matter what the future holds, it will be what ever
It is, but it is beautiful, I hope you can feel something
Of what I’m feeling now
I hadn’t missed you this morning,
Because it had felt like we had sort of spent the night together
I think that’s because we had turned the light out for part of it
But now just seems a very long time a go
I hope it wasn’t a dream but if it was I hope that it come true
One day

As I fall to sleep tonight you will be in my arms
And we are on the beach looking at the moon
Night night babe
I love you

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
To a holy, calm delight;

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
