One Little Night - Poem by Julian Mann

One little night
candle out there
seeing our messages flicker
you always so quickly
I holding back
for thoughts of your yearning
'slow for me'

I can only from luxury
dream of the dirt (someone's mirror)
you waiting mimicking
flashback to the bus stop we'll both

but it's now I type the ritual
you could be
with your face and hair
in their stories,
bringing Rome and casting seas
of utter utter dream come
it's good and I wake.
