Ophidian: Freedom In Eight Acts

Act One:
Tales are told, words on tablets carved on stone
To shake the rake at the stake of memory
If we believe the genesis of the seeds sown
Love the child whether a diamond or an emery

Act two:
Surprise! Sunrise! A rainbow in the sky
Birthed from the loins of stormy goodbyes
A promise made for danger to comply
Peace caprice forming the seven allies

Act three:
Faith strives, deprives, revives the opposites
Death to life, winter to spring, hate to love
Hell guides footsteps, others by providence
Some fall between the cracks sort of

Act four:
Leading verses boldly frame my argument
Anthony’s oration my ophidian ornament
In poetry I trump the legal journalist
And run of the mill; the daily turbulent

Act five:
Ophidian gave purpose to the lonely apple
Persuaded Eve to shed her invisible blind
Freedom to escape from a captive chapel
'To be or not to be' the hallmark of all mankind

Act six:
Sugar coated paradise can’t gain or sustain
Boredom with life, or the softness of hands
Royalty’s sudden death from catered grain
Farmer’s joy to sow and harvest the lands

Act seven:
Myth and theologians blame the snake
To dive in earthly pleasures is to truly live
Guilty -foot breaks -won’t propel the rake
The universe collectively enriches the hive

Act eight:
Freedom to choose the essence of humanity
Ophidian bursts open life’s plurality
Joy, sadness, misery and even insanity
Shakespearean acts to immortality

Snakes, spiders, scorpions and slimy slugs
Some only find the black eye in their backseat
Ophidians and arthropods like porcelain tea mugs
Their pivotal role to regulate nature’s heartbeat

The firste stock-father of gentleness,
