Outskirts - Poem by Paola Degli Esposti

Half an hour
of time from
the center of
town.
On foot,
a
bronze line, they are
the wheat fields.
Silence
but birds
will sing
and fly above.
Couples of mates
will walk so
tightly
and
lovely I see them.
It is the
countryside,
outskirts.
They are the people
of different idiom,
nowadays.
A promenade
and where I live it is like everywhere
in this age.
