Scare Crow's
On a wire
sits sparrow
in song
sharp chirp
run together
gibber jabber
Bullrush
along side
Lark of the meadow
hark
sing
unison
in sync
melodies
sung
poetic
how art though
with no lyrics
Warbler and wren
dart among
honeysuckle
in and out and
back again
dance on hawthorn
sharp spine
dare devils in flight
Coos does mourning dove
loss of ones love
feather down vail
covers earth
over ground
Blue jay
cries
loud
Coopers hawk
taken
was it's prey
forsaken
Counting crows
in a row
asking
man
Standing
just beyond
garden
Did you see
glaring
beneath straw hat
eyes black
smiling back
lips painted on
with no words
to speak of
silent
bare witness
never heard from
in the
distance
Scare Crow's
it doe's
staring
