She Touched the Wind-Alternate Version
She touched the wind
It swept her up
Carried her far
Above a foggy
Gorge through which she
Flew effortlessly
Escorted by
Two entities
One of whom she
Knew intimately
Soaring towards a
City in the
Distance – she marveled
At the ease of
Navigation
On this flight through
New territory
Enchanted and
Elated that she
Dared touch the wind

So now, just because of the similiar titles...I have to choose? ? No way! Love them both. This one, however, seems a bit lighter...less fear, more freedom?
I am still amazed at her couraged, however, and awed by her bravery...the one who dares to touch (or even reach for in the first place!) the wind...my kind of gal! !
This is just as lovely as the original version though the tone is perhaps cast more on the marvel of flying and less on the love! I like it though, both poems work equally well to entertain the reader. HG: -) xx
Nice............Freedom is exciting when earned not given...........Rooks
I, too, felt that feeling of lightness and floatiness from this gentle, lovely poem. Such an uplifting poem, Alice, in more ways than one!
Love, Fran xxx
This truly does have that dream quality about it...the softness, the floating, the ethereal part of it. Beautiful.
AVR, this is lovely, almost ethereal like one of those 'way out' dreams, have always wanted to learn to fly! Thanks for sharing. HG: -) xx
