Society Is No Match - Poem by Miranda Will

The color of our skin may be different
But our hearts are the same
We breathe the same air
We live on the same earth

We may have gone to separate schools
Yet somehow we were brought together
However society separates us
Because you are “different”

The appearance of skin should not matter
My love for you is stronger than society's grasp
My feelings for you are too strong to cave to expectations
