Song: High Fidelity

When there's no-one left to care. I'll be there.
Or they say you've got no prayer. I'll be there.

When a moment freely shared, is as precious and as rare,
as the diamonds in your eyes, and the highlights in your hair.
And time itself's impaired, with seconds running scared,
with minutes gone into hiding like hibernating bears.
And none of us are spared, to lull the crawling dread;
with emotions not easily aired, but locked inside the head.
And when lovers stop and stare, as together, each is snared...
I'll be there. I'll be there. I'll be there.

And if I die, before your death,
these mortal ties, might stop my breath,
but I, will defy, and resist from the depths,
of a transcendental love.
In this accidental universe we move.
I will throw out the ancient odds.
Appeal to willing gods and prove,
faithful to your every whim,
through the ether, clear or dim,
risking either mind or limb,
and my very soul. Depend on me,
my fires within, will smoulder in
a glowing kiln, to punch a hole,
in the quantum skin, defining all our dimensions.
And take control, with ghostly pull,
the hands of fate; subliminal.
Abide with me. I'll act your slave,
to manipulate, from beyond the grave...

Remiss is what I'll prove.
Unless, by will, I move,
the dry physic of the universe,
and upset it in it's grooves.
For this is more than love.
A kiss. A gift, I give.
For this is all I have.
My life. So you can live.

I'll be there! When your time has elapsed.
I'll be there! In your state of collapse.
I'll be there! When you take your last breath.
I'll be there! To run and catch you at death.
I'll be there! In your world undestroyed.
I'll be there! To guide your way through the void...
I'll be there! I'll be there! I'll be there!
I'll be there! I'll be there! I'll be there!

Another good lyric. I would only say it would be a challenge to keep the meter in time with any kind of consistency in musical form. Alone, it is a good poem! (Report) Reply
