(6/22 / Found My Relief)

Stupid Illusion

Leave my window open
In case you might see me
Sing out loud
In case you might hear me
Blast my music
so you might find me
Stupid Illusion.

Nothing works
You're still so far away
So why pretend you're here?
Shut my window
Stop my singing
Silence my music
Stupid Illusion.

Playing movies in my mind
Of You really here
Makes me smile
I'm happy for a while
But soon my smile fades
And i'm disappointed again
Stupid Illusion.

Got my hopes up
And watched them fall
What's the point of looking
For someone who's never there
When i turn around?
Deep breath, push it down
Say goodbye to my Stupid Illusion

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.

The Wind is hiding in the trees,
