Suffer Little Children
As I walk upon this earth
And look towards the sky,
Thoughts creep into my head
That I have to question 'Why'.
The same sky I live under
As many far away
Who spend their life in terror
In case a bomb should come their way.
Children who dare not
Go outside to see the sun,
Or play and find mischief
That all children name as fun.
So sad their childhood
Should bear the stamp of fear
When parents can`t tell them otherwise
Regardless of how close they hold them near.
The so called 'Wise adults'
That decide upon a war
Should think of little children
Before they suffer more and more.

dear i do believe the wars will stop someday..
but maybe not in our lifetime..fabulous write
We should Stop the Wars...
We should Stop
By our Pens...
Your Strong Feeling
Not every one can possess...
Let Us unite and stop the wars...!
A wonderul poem exposing the truth about who is most affected by war
and the other insanities we perpetrate upon ourselves.
unfortunately the great sadness is that this poem is very, very real. Someday maybe wars will be obsolete and we can settle our differences like we have a God given brain.
Not a day goes by without this thought haunting my mind, a very well written description of those unfortunate little souls born into a life of violence and fear...
Superb poem, full of wisdom, a wonderful cry for help for the children around the world. I really hope many, many read this poem. In the mean time let us start a kindness revolution in our own town. Wonderful poem, Heather.
Very well said Heather - the world needs to change.
Your poem speaks volumes. Children are so dear to my hearrt. They are so innocent. I would that I could shelter them from every harm, but it's not in our hands. However, we could continue to raise awareness, like you have done. Thank you soooo much, Heather, for giving a voice, in your incredible poem, to the children everywhere. Deserves more than a 10. 100+++
It's always the children that suffer, the adults need
to stop the wars and care for the children.
A fantastic poem.
