Tears Of The South

A historic moment I remember, the moment sorrow found a page in my heart to write it's theories on, I will tell thee of the very theories that trick my tears from it's source, but forget not my identity, for I am the ever blue sky filled with dark clouds, from me comes thy rain, the forest are my clothings, the birds my jewels, for like Adam, for like Eve, they covered my nakedness.I am envied by the north, admired by the west and adored by the east, a perfection of beauty, perhaps! Beneath my tent you will find paradise, but thy strangers, glamour in the colours of chameleon, blame not my sons, blame not my daughters, for I myself admired the rainbow of their garments, the first to taste of their waters imprisoned in a glass calabash. It's an inconvenient truth, but my world was dark by day and with a little niddle, a little pain, a little blood from my veins, snatched me in pity. It's an inconvenient truth that at of love I gave all, but my brightness has metamorphosed to dullness, for my serenity has been de-flowered and none to my aid consolidate. I flee, but my pursuers overtake and like a falling coin I sank in an ocean of despair. It's an inconvenient truth that I cried in hopelessness, but the north mocked my afflictions and vowed to prolong it, the west saw my afflictions and vowed to redeem me, the east saw my afflictions and vowed by my side they sail, for there was no pain like mine, for aloud it cried like the blood of Abel.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
