Chose to wake-up,
for the first time here
got cradled in love
left the time behind,
booming into memories

'a home of learning
& a place to worship.'
learnt & worshiped
so, remained
as calm as my breath
unknown to knowns,
a true recluse
mistook the lanes,
followed the footsteps of lust & lie
found myself too lost,
in loosing self-respect
sympathy is all-
i tried to gain & again,
in a mirror saw eyes of a martyr then
looking into, smiling for no reason
forgetting all i remembered,
no season sang for sun rays
so wrote a new song of pain,
lancing the wounds every holy-day

i'm joining my palms, now
trying to remember all
what i made forget for a while.

Poem of the Day

poet Robert Browning

by Robert Browning

Take the cloak from his face, and at first
Let the corpse do its worst!

How he lies in his rights of a man!
Death has done all death can.
