The 'Poem A Day' Project ~ Day 251
Think of the most expensive product that you have
Somewhere in your home right now
There’s one thing worth more than anything else
But I can’t understand how
When you think of what you get for what you pay
When you want to get some from the store
Printer ink’s the most costly liquid around
Only rocket fuel would cost more
And I can’t figure out why that is the way
What’s in it that makes it such a price
It would be cheaper to write things in blood
Though I guess that wouldn’t look so nice
Hundreds of years ago ink was made with mud
And berries and other natural stuff
And the pictures from back then are still around today
They have lasted through time well enough
I decided I wasn’t gonna be ripped off anymore
And went back to basics the other day
Collecting berries and mud as I walked down the street
Which is why they came took me away
