The Quote

All that was wrote
Was one single quote
No one knew who it was by
The quote caused many people to cry
As the people wander
The quote they ponder
As they stand by the grave
They find it strange this quote was only saved
No one quite understands the effects
Or what happens next
The same quote I clutch in my hand
I can't help but wonder if this death was a plan
One journal will be missing a page
This page is all but a part of a stage
It's a ploy
Part of a decoy
To what I don't understand
Most likely something grand

Poem of the Day

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
