The stars

Still nights
Holding onto you
Your eyes sparkling
Brighter than the stars

Your dreams
Too big for country roads
Flashing lights gleam
Spotlights upon your face

They laugh and snide
Afraid of their follies
Hate and insecurity
Murderers of dreams

Your eyes dim
Losing faith
Cling to me
Your foundation

They won't break us
Destined lovers
Innocent and pure
Hungry for one another

One day
Hands intertwined
We will dance
In lights of dreams

Of this worlds theatre in which we stay,
My love like the spectator ydly sits
Beholding me that all the pageants play,
Disguysing diversly my troubled wits.
