This Road

I knew that once I traveled this road,
there would be no turning back
And I know that dangers lie ahead
Full of obstacles and fear
But all these things seem petty
When I am with you

I am willing to walk this road
To feel your touch
To taste your kiss
I am willing to get a little lost along the way
To have you next to me
To have you inside me

I’ve never felt so strongly for something
I’ve never felt so weak
I never thought I’d lose control
And fall so deep.

poet Sarah Flower Adams

O Love! thou makest all things even
In earth or heaven;
Finding thy way through prison-bars
Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
