Try To Cherish Poem by Paula Lubbe

Try To Cherish

It's like a shadow falling over me
When the sun has to set
This sickness taking over me
About which no one will fret

I am placed in quarantine
Though not to protect others
You act like the virus is not seen
Like its not even a bother

It's my curse to carry
My burden to bear
I live life in tragedy
But you don't really care

I have to live it, day in and day out
So don't ignore me or my pain
And most of all, please don't shout
It shows all your disdain

I am the one who suffers
Of this poor body quality
But can't you try to cherish
Just what's left of me?
