Unabashed Emotions

Have I lost it?
Am I going nuts?
One minute I am spewing
Pain, carnage, and death
The very next
Love and sweet nothings
Metaphors and Similes
From rational thoughts
To crazy dreams
Unchained melodies
And unleashed feelings
Revealing my mind
As well as my heart
This shows the real me
Uncensored and uncut
Raw and unabashed emotions
All written on a page
Escaping my mind
Being imprisoned in writing
Rather than in thoughts.
Releasing my mind.

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

It is the hour when from the boughs
The nightingale's high note is heard;
It is the hour -- when lover's vows
Seem sweet in every whisper'd word;
And gentle winds and waters near,
