Walking Through Chasms

Take this hand -

(age-stained
love painted
time-tainted)

Many times it has held
(smoothed,
soothed
delude-
ed)
Some(thing) one else.

It has touched
(felt manipulated
held
bled
fed
caressed)

It is wrinkled,
Brown now, worn down,
(it has been intimate
with infinite
things)

This hand is marked
With a thousand moments -
(scars -
star-maps of time,
age-creepers,
marking a life-span) .

Take this map -
And walk beside me through its
Chasms.
