What do you think this poem is about?

Who Cares What They Say?

Once there was a girl named Emmy McGrutch
A pleasant little thing but she talked way too much!
She talked and talked all day long
And when she wasn't talking she was singing a song
She spoke of the sky and the clouds up above
She spoke of all the things you can think of!
She chattered and jabbered and gabbed to no end
She talked so much no one would be her friend.
She was alone before she knew it-
Boy, she really blew it.
Sometimes she got so sad she'd start to bawl-
She went from being cool to being nothing at all.
One day as she was talking through tears,
A chubby little boy just happened to hear.
He came up and asked, "Whatcha cryin for? "
She looked up and said "I have no friends no more!
They all left me because I talk too much
I HATE being me, Emmy McGrutch! "
She looked up at him, tears streaming down her face,
He wiped them away and gave her one long embrace
So sad and helpless, she was in a deep mess,
But lucky for her he knew this distress
He smiled and said "Who cares what they say?
It's your life and you should live it your way!
When people get angry and full of spite
Know in your heart you're doing what's right!
Just as long as you're having fun,
It shouldn't matter to anyone! "
And with these few words which felt like a gift
Her tears ran dry, her sadness did lift!
So Emmy just talked and talked all day long
And when she wasn't talking she was singing a song
Though other kids yelled and laughed and teased
She didn't mind ‘cause deep down she was pleased!
All of those kids didn't bug her a hair,
As long as she was happy- she didn't care!
