You Still Have My Heart

I admit it
You have my heart
I gave it to you
After our first date
Though it’s been years ago
And we’ve been through so much
You still have it
Deep inside your soul
I have no plans
Of taking it back
I desire it to stay
Right where it’s at
I’m very happy
With what we have today
I don’t see an end
In any way
I just wanted you to know
That you still have it
And you wield it with love
Complete and full of trust
I know you will care for it
And you will always hold it
With the passions of love
For all time

Poem of the Day

poet William Butler Yeats

WINE comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
