Trees were my childhood friends (along with neighbor, Helen) .
Now trees, and other South Carolina plants, have me YELLIN'.
Oh, it may not be outloud-yelling; I keep some feelings inside,
But, my displeasure with some plants here, I'll not from you hide.

Yes, Bri may have a VERY aggressive form of cancer,
& I'll see a doctor Fri. & by next week may have an answer:
'yes' or 'no'. It may spread in less than ninety (90) days,
barely time to eat ice cream in 180 different yummy ways.

Hollywood made, of me, a movie …..

In it I was called "King Kong";

Now it's April 30 and I'm back from my extended 'fun' trip overseas.
On the ferry boat from Holland to U.K. we encountered quite a breeze.
But I managed to keep what little I ate tucked away in my big tummy,
and managed to sleep, lulled by the waves as I used to be lulled by my mummy.

RoseAnn, a very Prolific Poet on P-H has cheated Death yet once again, but
a string of nasty events in her life, as told to me by her, makes me wonder when...
her demise will finally come. Perhaps she'd view it as a gift 'from Above', but
EVEN AFTER death I'm guessing she'll still write poems as if death is but a shove.

It's not the first & won't be the last words I've 'lost'; to lose more I do now fear.

Well, my wife may make MINOR mistakes....
.....when cake, or pie, or Samosa she bakes.
But once she set our poor dog, Joe, on fire;
the stove burner was, alas, his funeral pyre!

Languishing [[ adjective: failing to make progress or be successful ]]
is not a pleasant 'boat' to be in, & being a 'languishing poem' is stressful,
....for sure!

Some recent showcases contained poems from the
" Indian Subcontinent " & the " British Isles ".
Some may have brought tears, others perhaps smiles.

I'm typing on a 'tablet', so Bri may soon be shouting.
If 'it' acts as it does at times, I also may be pouting!

My goal: 'To allow you access, with few twists and bends'.
