the angel of grief drops her tears
thoughts of you won't go away
i wish that you were still here...

no matter how far i get
life still says i have a long way to go
no matter where i go, some things i can't forget
sometimes life passes us slow.

to hug you one last time
would put a smile on this face
you're so special and priceless, there's no other to find
times with you can't be replaced.

i tell myself
that this can't be happening
i try to act like i'm somewhere else
somewhere where this isn't happening.

i don't want to lose my best friend
that i've lost before
i guess this the end
but the heartache lasts forevermore.

i've been thinking
in grief's silent darkness in my mind
i realized i'm sinking
and there aren't any lifelines to find.

i finally found my one
but you were taken last night
nothing will ever be the same, i'm done
in this storm, i see no sunlight.

you are sunshine that melts me
a knife that pierces through
you whisper so sweetly
as i die with you.
