In this beautiful walk of life
I have now come to realise
That nothing is eternal here
Memories, only, remain forever.

Memories of the good, memories of the bad
Sleeping silently in the recesses of past.
Shaken into wakefulness
By the happiness-sadness clash.

I reminisce those moments
When I couldn't stop being glad
Those moments that made me sad
And the times when mixture of every feeling I had.

Nostalgia starts running through my veins
Within me the cloud of sentiments then rain.
Taking me to the land time long forgot
But the remains of which life kept in its pot.

Now I feel naive
To have cursed the gloomy moments
For they savoured my ignorant feelings
That gave my ecstasy a meaning.

Cherish these memories like a treasure
For when life's done with your measure
These flashbacks will be by your side
Like long-lost true friends of your life.

Savouring every moment I witnessed
Grateful for every memory I was bestowed with
Obliged to them for their eternal bliss
I merrily allow them to include me in their list.

'Cause the moment has arrived
I should walk away from the path of life.
