Annie Clarke Poems

1.

A tear
A symbol of sorrow
A dropp of doubt
...

I don’t really get it
I don’t see the point
Why Bother anymore
Where are the laughs
...

A blade a scream
A fiery breath
Longing held beneath
Unreachable to all whom are
...

Pure, sweet the gentlest breathe
Longing beyond chance
And all the while
A simple smile could brighten up the day
...

5.

Upon a vast faraway hill
where a single tree lies
a giant beast grew around
and sang and a dreadful song
...

It stood motionless in the deathly breeze
Tall and proud it stood
Amongst fields of sweeping silence
The colour of its many arms
...

I feel a stolen bliss
A cold chill
A silent hope
A whispered chance
...

An abstract colour
Twinkling in the mist
An ultimate bliss
Almighty love
...

I sit here
I sit here and cry
I sit here and wait for you id don't know why
Because I know my dinner is never coming
...

When you wait so long
And in the end
Nothing really comes
And you sit and wonder
...

Melancholy like a clown
lost in an array
of abundant lies
stark sharp cold
...

The world spins
oh why such urgent need
simple days twist and turn
unfaltering into years
...

13.

Beauty is such a fragile thing
dreams such faltering images
that each thing
mixed and mangled
...

How do you contemplate
Such a sight?
Such freedom
Gone
...

15.

I can feel
something raw
deep and painful
I have lost you
...

16.

Frantically thinking
Constantly trying
Quickly failing
Always behind
...

I speak the words of a dead man
for silence is the only sound
I try to scream
but hear no sound
...

The Best Poem Of Annie Clarke

Tears

A tear
A symbol of sorrow
A dropp of doubt

A tear
A mark of merriment
A smidge of a smile

A two faced cheater
With an opposite meaning
An ultimate joy
And terrible grief

A cacophony of feelings
In the tiniest of things
For all is held in a pool of tears
