Ariel Valerio Biography
Ariel Valerio writes, edits, translates in English and Filipino. He graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in Philippine Studies. He was named Makata ng Taon (Poet of the Year) by the Linangan ng mga Wika sa Pilipinas in 1990 and by the Komisyon ng wikang Filipino in 2000. He was president of the UP Writers club, the Galian sa Arte at Tula, and the Young Critics Circle.
