you left me for someone that didn't want you
i had no choice but to let you go
but you released me and i healed
and i feel stupid for regreting letting you go
...

as the rain patters
the glass shatters
i think of you
...

confused and searching for the right things to say
i still don't know why you left me this way
i'm like a picture with out it's frame
the corners burned and crumpled, not looking the same
...

beyond the shattered steps there is a wall
made of glass and perfectly clear
one can see everything, i can see everything
yet, i climb, i still climb that glass wall
...

I can see you
My eyes can't seem to close
And even though you can't see me
I still want you
...

I have a saying that goes unheard,
a vision that goes unseen,
and accomplishments that go unnoticed
but no matter how nonexistent I may seem,
...

i know i'm not perfect and i try too hard
and i hate the way you make me feel insuperior
i hate what you've done to me all those countless times
you used me, you broke me into so many small pieces
...

the flashes of light are reality
and it's not so bad
the hurt drifts away
and it's almost like being free
...

i've seen through it all
the glass, the window panes
i've seen it
i've seen what you can do
...

you said come sit on the floor next to me so i won't be alone
i wanted you to hold me so i didn't hesitate to come
your arms were so warm i didn't want to let go
but i opened my eyes and saw that you were gone
...
