To someone who left you a long time ago
…It’s like Screaming to the wall…
Comprehension is not forthcoming!

This is how it begins

Pain settles in, it sears the soul, it burns you whole
It leaves you empty, defeated, without recourse but acceptance
...

Is the realization that you are not loved as much as you love

You are not everything, as much as they are to you
...

Hope is for the damned
What need of it the blessed?
Hope remembered only in distress
Is it ever uttered by the fortunate?
...

The eyes have lost their luster
It does not light the way anymore

It draws you in as it ever has
...

I don't love LOVE anymore
It has reared its ugly head
Euphoria is gone, Pain is all
Was my momentary Happiness real?
