I woke up today from a nightmare
Where I was dying slowly inside
When I looked thoroughly, deeply

I wept in despair...
I saw darkness beyond compare
I saw emptiness absolute
Nothingness abounded

All of them devouring ME
The blood of my heart, The fire of my soul

My heart lay shattered to pieces
Thousands strewn across the floor
Some, cast to the wind - irretrievable
Some ground down, now part of the earth
Horrifically, it is completely dry
Not a single dropp of blood
Useless, shriven...DEAD

My soul was ripped to shreds
Incapable of re-forming unto itself
Unable to return to me whole
Damning me to a life without humanity
Horrifically, it has faded away
The heat from its fire extinguished
Leaving me cold, emotionless...DEAD

Sadly, I know how the nightmare exists
Sadly, I know the solution
Sadly, I must sacrifice the heart to save it
Sadly, I know what I must do...
