Country Living

Country living suits me so fine.
You have your place and I have mine.
Don't misunderstand
Nor be mislead.
A recluse I'm not,
But a muser instead.
Often I sit on the bench of my dock;
As the breeze does a dance
With my flirty windsock.
I gaze at the river
And watch it go by,
And my treat of midsummer
Watch geese learn to fly.

Folks are so rushed
with the traffic and stores.
I smile every day...
In my country outdoors.
