Charlotte Amélie Poems

Friendship is a sliver of light,
which can vanish when the rain pours down.
But what is a rainbow,
if not light and water in a heavenly symphony?
...

I swing between bitter indecision and sheer madness.

Most of my lies linger
Intertwined amongst fine threads of
...

Those words –yes, your words–
Did you really mean them?
Did you weight your words,
Heavy burden of thoughts?
...

Life is complicated
And hard to understand.
Why having something
That we can’t enjoy?
...

Can you see the glistening fire in my eyes?
Stripping my skin, gnawing at my bones
Consuming, scalding, blistering
Rendering only ashes, ashes.
...

A single flower afloat of the infinite sea
Ever so fragile, ever so beautiful.
Yet the waters won't surrender to its plea
Until the colors swirl, and leave.

Light And Rain

Friendship is a sliver of light,
which can vanish when the rain pours down.
But what is a rainbow,
if not light and water in a heavenly symphony?

Clouds might get in the way
and cold might take over its bones.
Blades can run through its sides
but still friendship will not subside.

So fragile, yet so strong
for it has the will to subsist
even when torn and bruised
holding up by the hope of a single dream.

So when you see a friendship crumble down
don’t think all you have left are its spines digging into your skin.
For its roots will stay forever in the grounds of your heart
waiting for the moment to spring again, and fill your chest with a fragrant smell.
