Those Words (Yes, Your Words) Poem by Charlotte Amélie

Those Words (Yes, Your Words)

Those words –yes, your words–
Did you really mean them?
Did you weight your words,
Heavy burden of thoughts?

Those words –yes, your words–
Did they come from your dreams,
Seeping through your soul,
Coming apart at the seams?

Those words –yes, your words–
Did you taste them in your tongue?
Bittersweet lullaby
I can’t avoid to follow along

Those words –yes, your words–
Sweetest things I can’t afford
They spin, they dance, they disappear
They have become so dear.

Those words –yes, your words–
They grasp me tight, but not quite so.
They take me up, then crush me down.
They kiss me, they leave me, they sink me deeper.

beautiful poem charlotte, 'Did you weight your words... Did you taste them in your tongue? ' I love this part, sometimes we forget to do that, but that's very necessary
