Corinne Reid Poems

Nocturnal Passage

Night beckons.
A compulsion to prowl nocturnally, deep in the forest
Silent footsteps stealing through the night as the world sleeps.
Creeping through the dense, dark and heavy canopy of great trees

Stolen Moments

Precious is forbidden bounty
not ours to keep but briefly savored.
Moments stolen.

Treasures multiplied in time.
Joyous bundles of life all wrapped in fur

Brief Encountners

Tis true, we are but ships that pass in the night.
Ships that ultimately sail alone through time and space.
We encounter but briefly in the span of infinity.
We lay anchor for a time in tranquil lagoons
