In The Shape Of Winter

In a curl, I have met the calm of my winter,
Underneath raw, midnight skies
And through moonlight and trees,
Opalescent reflections and linear auras.

Pure white and jagged jewels form
With each cold feather passing down
Through the air, resembling
A heavenly glow, I yearn to touch.

Everything is casually unseen here,
And the warmth from the cold
Silences my tethered soul,
Drifting away from frigid mood.

As a child,
I shall see another winter
As a woman,
Within the other seasons, I shall belong.

The Bride And The Shadow

My time is married to shadow;
Where light happens before,
Darkness lurks beneath.

Like a veil opening a face;
To tied laces delicately unraveling,
Exposing tenderly wounded lips
And scarred eyes
He stares upon my innocence.
