A place of dreadful misery

A place that has drawn near

May times of happiness and joy fill you holidays
Even when gift wrapping might put you in a daze
Regarding the cheer and greatness of it all
Rarely is it past the time when the leaves have began to fall

With hair more beautiful than an early morning’s sunset
And skin smoother than the waves of the ocean
More beautiful than the angel’s themselves
This is the girl I know

As he stares out into the evening gloom
The moon shines overhead
Could this place be his tomb
This dark thought passes through his head
