You are destined for greatness,
Yet you do not even know,
You have such passionate feelings,
Yet you never let them show.
...
Sorrow in my soul,
Deep like rivers and oceans,
My mind is locked inside itself,
And I've lost the key,
...
Tears in my eyes
But there's no time for rain.
My heart is like a window:
Nothing but pain.
...
Lies wrap around you.
Suffocating,
Reciprocating,
It started with a school of little white lies,
...
He cared for me like no one else,
He knew me better
Than I ever knew myself.
Time turned and twisted what once was
...
I am a woman
Weak, willful
Deceitful to some
The world shows me no mercy.
...
The wind whispers sweet nothings in my ear,
The rain pours down on my head slowly,
Even God sheds an occasional tear.
The body becomes weak,
...
You are the sun
I am the moon
I bask in your radiance
You make me glow.
...
Never give so much of yourself
That you no longer exist.
For that reason
Love no longer ranks
...
Loneliness caresses a melancholy soul.
Kneading at the creases of what was good intentions,
Molding those good intentions into silent screams
For attention
...
Love is a verb,
Full of action and doing,
Alive with adjectives and beautiful descriptions.
Love is just a four letter word,
...
Sometimes I'm like a volcano,
My anger lies dormant..
Just waiting to erupt.
It only takes for the wind to blow the wrong way
...
The present is a present
There is no time like it
Like most things in life
Time just keeps moving forward
...
The violent wind blows cold, freezing in a once beautiful field
The tall grass is dead and gone replaced
By the charred yet frozen soil of a wintery death.
Barren, isolated, solitary
...
I can smell a set up from a mile away,
The ripe stench of your obvious lies
Cover the walls of my mind.
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see
...
Tremors flutter from my fingers
Up the left side of my body to my brain
Blinding pain,
A force greater than myself
...
Your hands caress me
Like rolling waves on to the sandy beaches of Paradise
Your kisses bless me
Your love is holy and sacred

To My Daughters
You are destined for greatness,
Yet you do not even know,
You have such passionate feelings,
Yet you never let them show.
I carried you in my womb,
And now I watch you grow,
Soon will come the time,
When I have to let you go,
I have always loved you,
How much you may never know,
I have always been so proud of you,
But my foolish pride won't let it show,
You are so beautiful,
Yet it to you it seems unknown,
Your endless wit can be a gift or a curse,
Use it carefully when you are grown.
I'm sorry for not being the mother you may have always wanted,
I raised you to be everything that I am not,
Only because I want the best for you,
So you don't have the life I've got.
Just know that I've always loved you,
My precious daughters- I always will,
And when it is my time to depart,
I will love you still.
