Dharmanand(Raj) Dauhoo Poems

With only one wing
To the farthest of dreams
A crestfallen longing to appease
I travelled
...

Engraved in the clouds
For timeless centuries
The writings endured the havoc of calamitous assaults
The eyes did not dare to capture
...

Endlessly, the sky wept
Heedless, I stayed under its roof
Subdued by the celestial euphoric hymns
In the heart
...

Engulfed in the whirlpool of someone's love
Ultimately lost
Drowned in the abyss, forsaken
Since day birth to twilight
...

By dusk constrained
With reticence the sun retreated
Its last rays of light put out
Late, the mysterious domain's entrance was reached
...

That fateful day
Your hoarse voice was heard
A presage that disaster was ahead
Your black wings stretched
...

Has been long
The search for your path
Too heavy now
My heart's burden
...

The moonlight dews
On the silvered leaves
Mirrored the smile of a host of angels
...

Deep into nature's heart
Sent great rejoicing, the birth of day
In this weird milieu
Birds warbled for a happy heyday
...

Time Travel

With only one wing
To the farthest of dreams
A crestfallen longing to appease
I travelled
Probably for the last time

The delicious balm of nectar
An intense emotion to soothe
Haplessly out of reach

The edifice of delusion
Efforts of a thousand light years
Hidden remembrance contained
Echoed in the emptiness of its silence
At an abode of illusion, they stood

In the breaking waves of reminiscences, submerged
So tumultuous
Witnessing primitive conceit
In every single word, every action
Trust at face value

Each moment, a revolt
But suppressed
Stronger the innate flaw of the heart
Given as a divine gift
A weakness that reduced dignity
To humiliating nothingness
Hankering after false sparks of affection
A wonderful mendacity educed
Where apparent artifice dwell

Already initiated, the undertaking, obdurate
Nothing more perfect a soulmate
Failure, leading to insanity
For the imagination impossible
Hope shapes by destiny, in faith
For whom is the infinite waiting?
