New Yorker Goes West

Fifth avenue and Broadway square,
wind, ice and snow everywhere,

Warm sun and beaches, think I'll find
I'll leave New York far behind.

San Diego is the place to go.
no snow to shovel, just lawn to mow.

Would I get tired of days of sun,
boats swimming, so much fun?

I've had cold winters, say twenty- four,
I'll pack my bags and close my door.

To fly away to the western sea,
San Diego beckons me.
