somewhere between the lamp posts she smiles at her secrets.
the halogen light only amplifies the tears.
distant now are her loves.

as securely as it is attached

Thoughts of kissing you very hard on the lips
My fingers pressing against the small of your back
Trying to push our bodies together urgently

if you must mount these gallows
give a joke to the crowd
a dollar to the hangman
and make the drop

I frame your unfolding passion to perfection
yet not a quarter so well as you display yourself
even night blooming flowers
would weep with envy

in the cool mist shrouded
silent, as the hour creeps to midnight
I sit alone in the cloud covered night
with the first puffs of smoke

what happens to the unwanted souls?

do they wander looking and lost?
