Born 1957 in Santa Marta, Colombia, Fernando Linero is a musician and poet. He studied music at the Conservatory of the National University of Colombia, and studied philosophy and letters at the Catholic University of La Salle. Among his most outstanding works are, 'Sonata of the sleepwalker, ' 'Laughter of the sax, ' 'Apart from love, ' 'Pebbles and Words for man.'

As he wrote: ''I was born in Santa Marta on October 4,1957. I have a wife, two children whom I watch growing, and a dog. I am not bound to anything in particular...''
