DREAMS

As I sit here in meditational form
Hands intertwine behind my head

My body, mind,

Reflection

Reflecting

As she sat there placing
Foundation on her face
To enhance her natural beauty
For a night out in town
A sudden case of nostalgia
Manage to capture her
In this momentary position
Idling her movement
Because she is entrapped
Over the past which caused
An issue in her present
Viewing her facial structure
In a mirror and start to notice
How amazing she is
As it adds value to her
Confidence and self-esteem
Admiring her likes as queen

But summing up her wrongs
And disappointments in relationships
Trying to figure out
Is it her
Or the immature minds of men
Pacing this ungrateful generation
Thinking to herself
She knows what it take
To fill a home with
Compassion and happiness
But can't find the right piece
To complete the puzzle
She is not allowing these
Desperate times to alter
Her characteristics to fit in

But adjusting her emotions
To the way people are living life
In this new age
Due to her being
Caught up
In old tradition
Love hasn't played fair
Or transitioned into a story
She can express to her children

Cinderella fantasies painted
An imaginative blueprint on what
She had wanted in her future

It is funny how life
Creates a situation
That will bottle up
Your childhood dreams
And set it assail
With a note attached
For someone to discover
She hopes
The soul
That manage
To obtain the treasure
That she has concealed

Is worthy and
Practice consistency,
Decisiveness, and has
The strength to deal with her
Outgoing nature
But she questioned herself
To see if her heart is ready

To adapt to the fleet
Dating system
Because of society's
Deceptive ways to gain
Mental attachment and then
Leave you supplying your
Household with Kleenex tissue
Because of the hurt
Phoning a friend
Or family member
To heal a scorned heart
Because of the empty promises
He whispered in your ear
During that time
When guards where down
And everything felt right
Face abreast to the pillow
Which is known as pillow talk
Project vivid images

Which lay in bed
But wasn't acted out to make
Her soul fill with security
Now time has to patch up
The wounds that fabrication
Has caused
Leaving her to rebuild
Her state of being
Covering more
Than her body for warmth
But she is not putting too much
Thought or emphasis
On the past pain
Because she unveiled herself
To enjoy the likes of life
So she walks freely
Thinks positively
And has complete control over
Her female intuition
Compelling her thoughts
To defuse the abhorrent fears
That she contains
In her own sense of thoughts

She doesn't want to feel alone
But noticed by a man
Who takes full responsibility
For his words
Why do us women
Have to think like a man?
Who wants to play
Foolish games?
I am a well seasoned woman
Who is prepared properly
And knows what she wants
I refuse to hide my beauty again
Because I am more
Than I see
Due to the reflection
This mirror
Gives off of me
