Why be the fruitless fig-tree by the way,
When Christ has made me branch of His good vine?
The Lord nourishes me with grace each day;
I’m trimmed to grow with better fruits divine!

I wonder if I should change my workplace;
O God, I'm caught between myself and fate;
Nevertheless, I'll bravely problems face.

I fall in sin again, again!
It is my weakness, Lord;
I fully know, I cannot gain
Heav'n, unless I live by Your Word!

What right have I to tempt a soul to sin?
What right have I to show bad example?
What right have I to make soul sin's waste-bin?
What right have I to offer Eve's Apple?
