The cast of this play
Are the demons in my head
They've come out to play
In the words that I've written
...
At first I feared them and now
They're my closest companion
They were there when no one else was
They are the voices that were screamed before
...
The wails of war are heard in the distance
Can you not smell the blood of the innocent in the air
Can you not see the death and carnage on horizon
If you stay still you can hear the cries of the wounded
...
Well I’m not the next Allan Poe or Shakespeare, I’m not even myself most times. I am a below average word enthusiast, I don’t know whether to say poet or writer, they honestly don’t sound right. I guess is if a gun was pointed to my head I would say I am a WRITER. Or at least trying to be one. Writing brings me so much pain and joy that I honestly think the only word to used to qualify the feeling I have toward any form of the written word is love. Well enjoy my shitty poetry with terrible grammar because I had subpar English teachers and I skipped class.)
The Demons
The cast of this play
Are the demons in my head
They've come out to play
In the words that I've written
Here they are;
They have some words to say
And trust me,
say it they will
I am the medium for their message
And here's what they told me to say
They say we have to stop
And that is their message
Do with it as you please
But please just stop
