It's Coming Poem by Jesse Fregene

It's Coming

The wails of war are heard in the distance
Can you not smell the blood of the innocent in the air
Can you not see the death and carnage on horizon
If you stay still you can hear the cries of the wounded

This war will be bloody
It will be hard
It will be painful
It will be tremendously evil

We will scream into our machines with no reply
We will beg for the suffering to end
But it will not
We will beg for death but death will be slow
We will beg for god but non will answer

The only reply we would get
Is a reminder of the nonchalance of the people
Of the apathy of the masses
Of their mediocrity and submission
At lesser men

Prepare for war
