Once In A City
I was walking through the July noon,
Searching for a drop of water in the human desert.
Under the shadow of a tall building,
I heard a broken rough voice of a bird,
I thought it to be the lament of a crow,
Being injured in window by the housewife for its cursing ugliness.
But it was so pathetic, a sad melancholy,
I could not but searched for it in the tall city building,
My first glance caught a tiny ventilator in the cemented wall,
An open beak was visible asking for something towards the sky,
May be it was asking for a bit of ice from the far ice shop, ...
Looking towards the sky,
Faded reddish bloody sky.
Crying for one more sip of pain
What you have gifted me when we were at vain.
Asking for one more rainy day
What washed my tears when I walked back away.
Seeking one more time that path
What leads towards your earth.
And the broken window I look for You.
