Heart Light

Please come back, I want you to be with me forever
So that we can always be together
But sometimes the world has its own way; to take you away from me
I guess it just the way things ought to be
Losing you was as if my world came to its very end
To me you were more than just any friend
All of this just seems like a nightmare
This was the one thing I feared
That I just wanna wake up from it

As much as I don’t want to believe it, it’s all true
You’re gone and there’s nothing I can do
I pray and cry that someday I may see you again
I just want it all to go away; the pain!
I know that you are here with me in spirit
But I want you to have life; to live it
I guess you wanted to be with your dad
But why did you leave us, I knew you were sad
You just couldn’t understand the word ‘gone’
Now you’ve left me here all alone

Now I’ma suppose to follow your steps
Go to school and all the rest
But how am I suppose to do that
If I don’t know squat
I know I’m suppose to try
But it’s just so hard to say gud-bye
